From Day to Away: Introducing the Petite-Friendly Marina Shirt

When the seasons change, I notice a mix of looking back and getting ready for what’s next. That in-between mood inspired this collection, with color palettes of soft pastels and harvest tones. Pieces that feel calm but still hold a sense of possibility.

I called this collection From Day to Away, but I have a feeling the idea might carry through all my designs ☺️. It’s for weekends, getaways, or nights out when you want to feel a little more put together — light to pack, easy to wear, and versatile enough to dress up or keep casual without much thought.

The Marina Shirt

The Marina Shirt is made from 100% Lyocell, a fabric that’s soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin. Petite-friendly details shape the design: a cropped hem that balances proportions, a tie front that defines the waist, and kimono sleeves that relax the shoulders while still feeling refined.

Inside, French seams give it durability and comfort. A hidden loop makes it easy to hang up when traveling, even without a hanger.

The Marina Shirt is made to order and comes in dusty pink, light gray, and seafoam blue. I picked these shades because they feel calm and versatile — easy to wear right now and just as easy to bring into the next season.

How to Style the Marina Shirt

The Marina Shirt is designed as a travel-friendly piece you can pack and wear in different ways. The tie front highlights the waist, while the cropped hem keeps proportions right for a short frame. Kimono sleeves shape the shoulders and balance the waist for a natural hourglass look.

You can tie it over a dress, pair it with high-waisted trousers or jeans, or match it with a maxi skirt. For a more casual look, try layering it over a short-sleeve graphic tee that’s a little longer than the shirt itself, and finish with shorts!
