Meet the Capri Dress — Effortless Elegance for Petites
As the air turned cooler, I found myself thinking about pieces that feel comfortable but still easy to style through changing weather.
I started designing this dress in early October with that in mind. It took longer than expected because I kept adjusting the cowl-neck detail. I wanted the neckline to feel a little like a scarf — soft, drapey and comforting. As temperatures drop, and with some places already seeing snow, scarves are one of those small things that bring a sense of warmth.

The forest green fabric also reminds me of holiday season colors. Around this time of year we feel a bit more warmth from friends, family and the community around us. I wanted this dress to be layer-friendly too, since the cap sleeves can feel a little cold on their own. It pairs well with a cardigan, a sweater or a trench jacket depending on the weather.
I hope it becomes one of those pieces you naturally reach for during this transition into the colder months.

A few details I wanted to highlight
I wanted this piece to be something you can wear comfortably in everyday life. Here are the details that made it into the final design.
Side pockets
Useful and practical. I use pockets every day, so this was a must for me.

Elastic waistband
Comfortable to wear for long hours and still feels good after a meal.

Side slits on both sides
Gives the skirt some movement and makes walking easier.

These small details come together to make the dress easy to wear and simple to style, which is always what I look for in everyday pieces.
Thank you for being here and for reading along in this slow, growing journey. Wishing you a calm, cozy start to December as the holiday season begins. 🌿
