Article: What colors should I make next? 🎨

Behind The Seams

What colors should I make next? 🎨

Happy Sunday! 🌿 How is everyone going? For those of us in the northern hemisphere, the weather is starting to cool down, and for those in the south, it’s warming up.

Seasonal changes usually mean pulling out different layers — which got me thinking about the tie-front shirt I’ve been working on for petites, and what colors would make it the easiest to wear year-round.

I’ve been making a tie-front shirt designed for petites that I hope can work all year round. It’s light enough for travel and everyday wear, casual for weekends, and easy to pair with trousers, skirts, or even layered over a dress for dinner.

Right now, I only have a very small batch in light gray and dusty pink. This first batch is just to try out the fit and see how it feels, and then I’ll add more colors.

Here’s a little sneak peek of the half-scale sample 👀

I’m putting the final touches on the full-size one, especially around the hemline and collar.

I’d love your input — which colors do you tend to wear most in your everyday wardrobe?

By sharing what you’d really wear, you’re helping me design pieces that feel practical, versatile, and easy to style—for petites like us. 😊

As always, thank you for being a part of my journey, and I look forward to sharing more stories and developments with you.
